Jet Li Reported Missing

I know I said I wasn't going to post this week, but I had to give a quick word regarding the tragic earthquake that has taken place in Asia. As I type this, the death/missing toll is in the vicinity of 23,000. This is an incredible tragedy that I cannot even fathom, and my heart and prayers go out to all those affected by this.

It has recently come to my attention that martial artist and film star Jet Li is among the missing. He was vacationing with his family on one of the Maldive Islands when the earthquake struck. His manager has tried contacting him, but has not been able to. This does not mean he is dead, but he is, and I believe the rest of his family is officially on the missing list. I know that his life is not worth any more or less than anyone else affected by this, but he is a very visible star, and by the interviews and such that I have read about him, he is a genuinely nice guy.

I sincerely hope that he is found alive, along with anyone else on. My heart goes out to the Li family. He has brought much joy to his fans worldwide, and will hopefully continue to do so.

Thanks! I read about this morning shortly after getting to work. I am happy for him and his family. My heart still goes out to the rest who have lost so much in the wake of this tragedy.
