We do believe — and I can't be falsely modest about this — that it's the single most important zombie Western ever made. That might not hold true if someone else makes one. But until then, I think we have bragging rights.
Who is your favorite director(s) and why?
Oh, jiminy. Let me confine that to the most important directors in shaping the way I thought about making this movie specifically. Those would be Sergio Leone (classic Westerns now, obviously, but at the time they were incredibly adventurous and introduced a whole new way of thinking about the "Western"); Steven Spielberg (Raiders was something I loved as a kid and still love, and in some ways mine is an adventure movie as much as a horror movie — it's not really that scary); and Trey Parker (his first movie, Cannibal: The Musical, is a period gore-comedy that I found myself thinking of often as I made this, and he gave me some great advice before I shot).
What is your favorite film(s) and why?
This youtube video is the best movie ever made.
What projects can we expect from you in the future?
Well, I've got a book called The Royal Nonesuch coming out in the winter... and I have a couple of new feature projects in the (early) works... keep yer eyes peeled!
Finally, if you were a monster, which one would you be? Why?
Oprah Winfrey. Because then I would control the Universe.
Thanks to Glasgow for his time, and we look forward to seeing Wanted: Undead or Alive soon. Keep checking the official movie site for up to the minute news on it.
