There is a widespread misunderstanding that LIFE OF BRIAN is somehow a blasphemous and anti-Christian film. I don't think so; it makes fun of people who won't or can't listen to Jesus' message. The point is made repeatedly in LIFE OF BRIAN that so many people fail to understand a really simple message about love and tolerance, and instead favor unthinking fanaticism and intolerance.
That's a lesson for everybody, regardless of race, creed or color.

That's what I told those guys who chased me in the movie theatre the other day. It happened after I danced through a Passion screening dressed like Boy George and singing "Bright Side of Life." So intolerant, these people.
They didn't even like my "THE JEWS WERE RIGHT" sign. Where's the love? What would Jesus say?
