Harry Potter Producer in Talks to Produce Night Circus Adaptation

Part of: NewsFlash

David Heyman, credited with being the JK Rowling of the Harry Potter movies, is now in talks for his next magical adventure on-screen.

Heyman is in negotiations with Summit Entertainment to produce the the fantastical book adaptation The Night Circus, by first-time author Erin Morgenstern, due out in September from Knopf Doubleday.

The story is set at beginning of the 19th century, telling the story of two young magicians, pawns in an age-old rivalry between their mercurial, illusionist fathers, and the enchanted circus where their competition (and romances) play out. Fates of everyone involved, from creators and performers to patrons, hang in the duo’s balance.

Heyman has produced all eight Harry Potter movies, and hot off the success of the highest-grossing film franchise of all times, he is much in demand - and also has high anticipation attached to himself.
