Gilliam movie will be released

Monty Python star Terry Gilliam hasn't had an easy time in recent years. First, his film adaptation of Don Quixote was abandoned in 2002 after a series of on-set debacles; a fly-on-the-wall documentary, Lost in La Mancha, was made about the project. Not long after, another Gilliam direction - The Brothers Grimm, starring Matt Damon and Jonathan Pryce - also hit the buffers.

Happily, the epic fairytale seems to be back on track and Gilliam denies rumours of a spat with the main backer Bob Weinstein. "We did have problems with Brothers Grimm, but it was mainly because the shoot took an unusually long time, even for a big-budget production," Gilliam tells Spy. "The special effects were complex, but I am editing the film and we will release it in November."

Gilliam is still refusing to contemplate getting Don Quixote back on track, but adds: "Believe me, I just want to finish this project before I think of anything else."
