One of the more publicized aspects of season three has been the addition of several new faces to Community’s cast, most notably John Goodman. Goodman will premiere as Vice Dean Laybourne, the freshly appointed leader of Greendale’s Air Conditioning Repair Annex and apparent archenemy to Dean Pelton (Jim Rash), in six episodes this season. In addition, Michael Kenneth Williams will fulfill a role similar to Betty White’s in season two, this time as the group’s new biology professor, and is set to appear in three episodes as of now. Fans of Party Down will be pleased to see that Martin Staff will make an appearance in this season’s second episode.
Finally, everybody’s favorite duo, Troy and Abed, are now rumored to be roommates, providing new adventures and storylines for the two, especially since Abed refused to room with Troy at the end of the first season in order to preserve their friendship.
