For those of us counting the days to find out what happens next on our favourite show, if that show is on FOX, the wait just got a little longer. FOX has pushed back the dates of its fall premiere shows from the previously announced week of August 25 to the following week. The network begins the 2008-2009 season hoping to make lots of noise with some special two-hour premieres of new and returning shows.
The two-hour premieres will start Monday, September 1 with Prison Break (8-10 pm ET). Prison Break then returns to its regular time slot on Monday at 9:00 pm ET. Bones premieres on Wednesday, September 3 (8-10 pm ET), with The Moment of Truth on Thursday, September 4 (8-10 pm ET). Bones then settles into its regular slot on Wednesday at 8:00 pm ET, while The Moment of Truth airs on Thursday at 8:00 pm ET. The first week of premieres wraps up on Friday, September 5 with Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? (8-10 pm ET), which will normally air on Friday at 8:00 pm ET.
Tuesday, September 9 kicks off with the last of the two-hour premieres in September: the much anticipated Fringe (8-10 pm ET), a thriller from J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci, and Alex Kurtzman. The show stars Joshua Jackson, Anna Torv, and John Noble and the promos look very promising. Do Not Disturb, a new comedy starring Jerry O’Connell and Niecy Nash premieres with a regular length episode on Wednesday, September 10 (9:30-10:00 pm ET).
COPS (8:00-8:30 and 8:30-9:00 pm ET) and America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back (9:00-10:00 pm ET) come back on Saturday, September 6th. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles returns on Monday, September 8th, (8:00-9:00 pm ET). ‘Til Death premieres on Wednesday, September 10 (9:00-9:30 pm ET).
