First Images From Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle

Hayao Miyazaki, most famous in the U.S. as the director behind the acclaimed animated features Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, is hard at work with his team of animators (Studio Ghibli) on an adaptation of Diana Wynne Jones' fantasy novel Howl's Moving Castle.

Dark Horizons has got a hold of four still images from the upcoming film, and they look simply amazing. Miyazaki has clearly taken his craft to the next level with the design for the title location, and his characters look as nuanced and expressive as ever.

Howl's Moving Castle is slated to be released in Fall 2005.

Yeah, this Miyazaki fan is currently wiping drool from his chin. And when is the American version of "Nausicaa" coming out already?
