I saw the trailer a few days ago but I've been out of town. The trailer was enough for me... it has cemented my reasoning for not going to see the movie.…

Touche (can't figure out how to do the accent thing) on your Limbaugh comment. He's even too right-wing for many Republicans.

Problem with Moore's movie is that it's not billed as a comedy, but as a documentary by both him, and you watch, come March, by the "Academy".

You are more than entitled to reject the film onces you've seen it, but prejudging it is hasty.
Essentially, Moore is criticising what HE FEELS needs to be criticised.
If you don't like it, don't watch it. If it's wrong, object. Write a post. But don't pre-judge something you haven't seen.

Of course Moore a film you have seen, I'm sure. That means you think you know what style it will be, what forms it will present its information in. Fair enough, Bowling for Columbine was a skewed view but sketched an outline for a dysfunctional society.
Will that same cynicism be applied to F911? Mostly likely, and then some.
But look at the subject matter. We're talking about f'ing september 11th. This is not some walk in the park. This is THE event of our generation and there are a lot of questions that haven't been answered.
Moore isn't the only one asking questions. He's not the only one making films. He's not the only "alarmist leftist."
It's not just people on the left who should be sounding their alarms. And Moore, amoung others, can tell you how.

Moore is the MTV generation's answer to research. We are too lazy to go out and find out what the dissidents are saying, so he'll package it and deliver.

    A very rich discussion indeed.
I try to approach it from many angles. I am a Moore fan, but I take it with a grain of salt. I think I found this link here ? http://www.hardylaw.net/Truth_About_Bowling.html
Anyway it's very insightful -- not to discredit the criticism of Moore, but to remind us that everyone is selling to us their lies. Moore too, unfortunately.

I think Moore started out as an advocate for the "common man", but he's essentially turned into a megalomaniac, IMHO.

I appreciate your comments about taking his films with a grain of salt. The thing is, I think many, many people take his films at face value.

You're right, who the heck takes the time to check the source material of a story that appears on TV or the 'net? Much news today is reported based on secondhand information in order to be "first" and if anyone eventually checks the facts and it turns out the story was incorrect, too late! The media is already on to the next "big story" and the correction gets buried and heard by few.

Fox News gets hours of airtime to do what Moore's critics accuse him of. They even get to call it news. Good or bad it evens the playing field. As for the people commenting on his weight, you probably have a few "barns" in your own families.

i don't know how clinton's dick taste but i do know about the size and shape of it. i interviewed randy barbato and fenton baily who produced a show for hbo entitled "monica, black and white".

let me just say that my current favorite expression "go fuck yourself" could not apply to bill as i understand it.

this post should bring this thread to a new all time low.

This thread is about Michael Moore and Fahrenheit 9/11, and then the right has to throw in something about gay people wanting to blow Clinton? What do gay people have to do with this thread?

Since 9/11, Bush has made blunder after blunder and has NOT made this country safer. Yet, time and again, the Right has given him, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, and Cheney unprecedented slack and allowed for the most outrageous excuses and 'modification of reasons' never before seen in the history of our country. Talk about brown nosing.

You don't really want to get into a debate about what's on who's lips.
