DVD Review: Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana - Page 2

As one might think, the presence of a well-known and loved pop star brings craziness and chaos galore, along with plenty of laughs and comedy. There is also an underlying feeling of desperation when Hannah loses her wig and lucky charm anklet. Without those things, she worries that her days of having the best of both worlds are over.

Disney does a fantastic job combining these three hit shows and bringing them together to make a delightfully fun full-length movie. Each character is able to keep his or her own personality and the chemistry that ensues, when they all come together, is excellent.

My seven-year-old daughter, who is an avid fan of all three of these Disney works, was thrilled when she heard this movie was coming out. After sitting down to watch it, she was excited and not in the least bit let down. I also have to admit that it was quite an entertaining collaboration and a smart move on the part of Disney. Those who are not completely familiar with the individual series get a hilarious glimpse into each of these characters and can take away from that an idea of what the television shows are like. This may easily and quickly bring new fans to The Witches of Waverly Place, The Suite Life on Deck and/or Hannah Montana.

Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana is a wonderful and entertaining family movie that all can easily enjoy. No, there are no shoot ’em ups or violence that Dad may lean toward, but I think he may still be able to capture a few laughs here and there. My three-year-old son did not seem to mind watching in the least either. Of course he is used to these familiar faces that often grace our television screen as his big sister takes her turn for brain-numbing television time.
