There are six short featurettes totaling less than 30 minutes. “Madea is Back” discusses Tyler Perry bringing back the character in a starring role and his co-stars talking about the uniqueness of the character. “Leroy Law Brown” is modeled after those bad lawyer commercials with Leroy Brown (David Mann) willing to get the money you’re owed. “Looking for The Big House” talks about filming scenes in the unused half of a prison and what the conditions were like during filming. “Brining in The Heavy Hitters” talks about all the cameos of famous people who turn up throughout the film including Dr. Phil, and TV Judges Greg Mathis and Mablean Ephriam, Reverend Al Sharpton, Steve Harvey, as well as hosts of The View - Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck - and more. The final featurette is the aptly named “Madea's Crazy” where the cast talk about Madea and how insane she is and how Tyler Perry based her on several of his family members.
The featurettes were more interesting than the film, and all the featurettes conveyed the fact that everyone involved had a good time making the movie. However the movie doesn’t live up to it potential. Medea Goes to Jail teases the viewer with the idea of the brash woman going to jail, but the jail portion is as quick as a blink of the eye and while fun, the movie should have spent more time in prison.
