The 5.1 Dolby sound does its job well. There’s not much here for it to really do, seeing that South Park isn’t all that technical in the sound effects. Closed Captioning is also available on all 12 episodes.
Remember, like most other Comedy Central DVDs, this DVD is not censored. It’s for mature audiences only. There’s plenty of the swears to go around.
The Packaging
This is one of the greatest things about this set. The package is made to look like a bible with gold-tinged pages. There’s a picture of Cartman’s head on the front. It also comes with a fun stick, showing Cartman reaching for the heavens and a membership card good for one membership to the 'Cult of Cartman.' The card doesn’t really have any significance other than it give you a place to sign your name and a website to go to where you can compete in Cartman/South Park trivia, there’s prizes involved.
I didn’t necessarily enjoy the hubs that the DVDs are packed in. They overlap, one halfway on top of the other. But, the Bible shape more than makes up for that.
The Special Features
The only special features in this set are the new animated sequences at the beginning of each episode, and in the menu. They are funny, but for people that already own all the seasons it’s not enough for you to spend more money on.
Ending Thoughts
This is a set for those that love South Park, but not enough to buy every season or watch every episode. It offers some great advice from one of the most famous animated people of all time. If you love Eric Cartman, and want to be like him, then this set is for you.
