Final Thoughts

Not only is The Crazies by itself a good enough movie to warrant a purchase, the special features are top notch. It goes in depth on production, from makeup to story to what was updated from the original with the documentaries, and it also adds some layers to the movie itself by the way of the motion comics. As a complete package, The Crazies is well worth the purchase for any horror fan or anyone who really liked the movie when it came out. Non-horror fans may not like this at much but it is at least worth a rental. Think of it as a good glimpse of what will probably happen when your town's drinking water starts causing people to kill one another in insanely violent ways.
