Also included with the DVD is a voter tracking kit for the fall election. A map of the United States shows how many electoral votes belong to each state and there’s red and blue stickers to track who’s winning what states. (Just in case there’s a massive landslide, there are 50 of each color included.) This is a fun little extra if you want to give your kids a hands-on activity to get them interested in the election, but I have a hard time believing any kid will want to sit in front of CNN for hours to see which way Florida goes so he can mark it with the right sticker.
Overall, there’s nothing wrong with The Election Collection. The Schoolhouse Rock! cartoons are brilliant in their own right — brilliant enough that you should buy a more complete set.
