Tour of Booty is a five-minute short that takes a tour through the city while causing all sorts of unintentional havoc. It's a great addition to the disc. A two-minute test reel with commentary serves as the proof of concept, and Wedge talks about where this idea spawned.
Three deleted scenes, again with optional commentary, are in various forms of completion. The first uses a large portion of finished film for its lead-in for no apparent reason. This is followed by a short look at the Blue Man Group, who composed some of the soundtrack.
You Can Shine No Matter What You're Made Of is the disc's key feature. This 18-minute piece avoids many of the pitfalls of typical DVD documentaries. There's very little fluff or over-praising of those involved. It's a straight look at the creation of the film from early concept to completion.
Character profiles prove to be more than generic text screens. There's a short piece on each robot's voice actor, early concept sketches and a nice rotating look at the final computer model. Trailers, HD clips playable on a DVD-ROM, dull games, and a demo for the Xbox version of the video game complete this solid set of extras. ![]()
Robots performed admirably at the box office, though nowhere near the juggernaut that was Ice Age. However, Robots also had a higher budget. Hopefully the slightly smaller profit margin doesn't prevent a sequel opportunity.

Is this DVD ALL commercials? We just got it from netflix and have been trying to get to the menu to watch the movie... Can't select the menu - it only gives me the hand, I skipped through 6 chapters of previews/ads only to have it cycle back to the beginning of the disk. How do I get to watch the movie itself? We decided to just start the dvd, mute the sound, and watch some broadcast TV while we waited for the player to eventually get around to displaying the menu.
