Throughout most of the movie, Mandy is grounded but still trying to go to Drew Patterson’s party. When her untrusting father calls her every thirty minutes, asking for a visual of her current surroundings, she has to make up something, fake where she’s at, and put herself and her friends in life-threatening situations. There are redeeming moments in her decision making but not so much that I would let children watch this movie.
Picture This does have funny moments. The production value is high, and Tisdale remains a solid actress and great singer from her High School Musical days. But overall, this movie is not enchanting. Its fairytale ending is abrupt and unbelievable, and the sequence of events is random and unjustified. I would have a hard time recommending this movie to anyone.

"The point of Cinderella’s story is to encourage young girls who don’t have it all, to remember that they’re secretly better than those who throw themselves at men."
Really? First time I heard that. Is there nothing for others to take away from the story?

El Bicho, of course there is more to take away from it! But let's not speak logically here. It takes away from the SARCASM...

Is the notion of Ashley Tisdale as a great singer also SARCASM? Christ, I hope so...

Considering you labeled your use of sarcasm one, I don't see why I should have noticed it was being used in this instance.
