DVD Review: Dragonlance - Dragons of Autumn Twilight - Page 4

All in all, we thought that Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight was a B+ beginning to what we hope will be a continuing saga of the heroes of Dragonlance. It is not a perfect film, but I recommend it to all fans of Dragonlance and to any fans of the fantasy genre. While a lot of action is covered in this first installment, there is still plenty of opportunity to explore the true nature of Weis and Hickman’s compelling characters as they continue their search for the true gods and restore balance to the world. While we are waiting, I suggest that we all do what my son was inspired to do when the DVD was over — read the books. After all, what better way to brighten a dreary winter than with a little magic?

DVD Extras:

  • True fans should be able to find cameos of the series’ authors in the film!
  • Original Test Animation
  • Initial Character Design

Studio: Paramount
Runtime: 90 minutes
