The independent art house movie: this is the springboard of would be movie stars, big time film directors, and hopeful screenwriters. Low budget, quickly edited, and often, poorly acted B-Movies are often categorized as “soon to be cult classic”. But if you remember, films life Plan 9 From Outer Space and The Rocky Horror Picture Show began their long runs as B-movies. So, with that being said, I would like to introduce Death Hunter: Werewolves vs. Vampires.
Death Hunter: Werewolves vs. Vampires, directed by Dustin Rikert, has a tragic concept to it, a couple lost on a desert highway come upon what they think is a point of salvation, only to find it is the first step into hell, and the hero of our story must endure the horror of losing the woman he loves, being bitten by a Werewolf, chased by Vampires and finding death around every corner. This movie has its dramatic moments and its comical plot bumpers, but overall it is an interesting movie. The special effects aspect is modest, but the director did a great job with what they had. This is a movie that would be a favorite of the indie-movie lover and the “B-Movie” crowd.
