Hey folks
After the wonders of the last couple weeks, it's a bit disappointing to return to proper old normality. Sure, there's a couple special editions getting a kick onto the schedules, but nothing particularly exciting.
Shrek 2
On account of it was slightly better than the first instalment, Shrek 2 goes ahead and nabs itself the title of "Rather Wonderful", is what The Duke would guess. Not as funny as the first one, perhaps, but still a lot more memorable, thanks in no small part to Antonio Banderas and his Puss In Boots. What a fine motherfucking cat that turned out to be.
Fast Times At Ridgemount High / Dazed And Confused - Flashback Edition
These special editions are available separately, or if you so desire, you can go ahead and pick up both in the one set. Dazed And Confused is probably The Duke's favorite out of the two, being Richard Linklater's sublime follow-up to his pretty damn influential Slacker. Much more conventional in terms of narrative and characters and all that jazz, though.
Dr Strangelove - 40th Anniversary Edition
Everybody probably owns about 6 versions of this already, but if you don't, then it's high time it was on the shelf, is what. Not only Kubrick's best flick, but also funny as all hell, and now complete with another retrospective documentary affair featuring interviews with Robert MacNamara, amongst others.
Looney Tunes - Golden Collection Vol. 2
Another glorious set comprising a host of classic Looney Tune mayhem. Alongside the fact that this is digitally-remastered and all that jazz, and plus it's got a bunch of commentaries and rare stuff and such, there's also a disc devoted to the brilliant movie parodies. What the fuck more do you want?
Well, here's the list folks, complete with occasional bouts of Duke-speak and so on.

"The Rapture" is one of the most disturbing movies I've seen. I was going to rent it today, but was afraid it would tip me into the abyss. So I rented "Shaolin Soccer" instead which includes both the international version, and the longer Hong Kong version.
