DOGGY FIZZLE TELEVIZZLE

Snoop Dog (aka Snopp Doggy Dogg nee Calvin Broadus) has his own MTV Comedy show. Yeah, MTV. Yeah, Comedy. You'd think it might work but it never has so far - unless you count the Osbournes, though that's more of a character study.

Just think of a comedian trying to rap and you'll get an idea of how the rapper will come across as a comedian. Ice Cube? He's a great comedy actor. But he's not trying to put a skit show together.

On MTV.

I may be rushing to judgment - and it's not because I don't like the music, which I do - but this may be one of the worst programs ever. And it's got the dipsnizzle fucking god-awfullest names that makes me cringe. That is the title up there, "Doggy Fizzle Televizzle."

Now Snoop has some charisma and the laid back thing does work for him. But it rarely works in comedy.

10 p.m. Sunday. 30 minutes.

The Shizzolator how the program probably got its name.

MTV

If you try and watch, I recommend keeping plenty of Gin and Juice at hand.

Peace out.

Having seen him spend a week co-hosting on Jimmy Kimmel Live, including doing a few skits, I think I'll give it a chance. He might just surprise.

(Okay, I'd place the odds at lower than 50%, but still that's something.)

    True dat.

Still, have you ever watched the Cedric the Entertainer skit show. He IS a comedian and it sucks. And I love the guy.

You have to have strong characters in any such show, not just lame jokes or even good jokes. You have to be funny AND act. You either naturally are or naturally aren't funny.

Apparently, Snoop, did something similar for MTV last year - for one show. See, like Kimmel, I think it would be okay in VERY small doses. I'll stop on Kimmel if I'm flipping through the channels but I would never tune in.

Adam Corrolla (spelling?) - now HE is one of the funniest men on the planet. He's crude - at times - but he's got the "junk" to back it up.

We'll see. It could be a smash. I'm just not getting the right Vibe [little Vibe/The Source publishing humor there].

I saw an episode before. It made me laugh. With such skits as "Snoop works at Arby's"(where he takes bites out of people's sandwhiches and doesn't give them the change haha), "Snoop teaches 2nd graders", "A Day in the life of Snoop", I thought it was funny. Some of it's really dumb, but it's hard to not laugh at Cap'n Pimp

Man, I don't care what you guys say, Snoop's the shit. His show's funny as hell. You guys need to blaze it before you guys watch it to really appreciate his style of comedy plus he got dj Pooh helpin' him out with the skits and he's the one who helped out on Friday so you know that it's going to be funny.

This is wierd... I saw this show on some crazy broadcast MTV in minneapolis that I could get in on the antenna sometimes like 2 or 3 years ago! It was on at 3 or 4am for a week. After that I never saw it again, couldn't find out anything about it on the internet or found anybody else who had seen it! Now just the other day I was thinking about it again for some reason and looked it up and find out it's playing on mtv as a new show! :S Anyways, I thought it was funny as hell. Smoke might've helped tho.
