With the debut this weekend in the States and Canada of season 2 of "Dead Like Me" (and can I just digress to say, Showtime, if you block your website to the people of Canada, how does that help your sale of this series outside of those states you call untied? C'mon dumbass, get a clue, or I'll reap your soul and deny you google-juice) we have finally reached the stage of acceptance.
George is handling both of her jobs at Happy Time, and as a reaper, and we are getting more information about the other Reapers, and that there is more to George than we think.
So far this season is much more consistent and even than the beginning, and has some great acting and writing.
Meanwhile, the parallel story of the unravelling of the Lass' marriage, and Joyce's attempts to connect to Reggie unfold.
Given the absolute lack of unusual programming on network teevee, and the scattering on cable, it would be expected for "Dead Like Me" to float to the top, but they've really tried as though there was actual competition.
If you're undergoing Whedon-withdrawal, "Dead Like Me" gives you more than enough to keep going (How does George get the "juice-stains" out of her coat, and Der Waffle Haus is a whole subject on its own).
