Comedy Madness

MSNBC has an NCAA style comedy movie tournament.

I was disappointed in some of the inclusions/omissions (Vacation, but not Christmas Vacation?), but overall it was a decent selection of 64.

My Final Four:

Big Lebowski, Caddyshack, Holy Grail and Spinal Tap

I haven't decided on the winner yet.

What does your Final Four look like?

    i can't follow the bracket.

they want me to pick between A Christmas Story and High Fidelity.

    impossible.

Yeah, and between Blazing Saddles and Dr. Strangelove. And then all that crap from SNL alumni gets it's own bracket. Groundhog Day wins that pretty easily, but there are a dozen better movies knocked out of the other divisions before the final four.

Geez, at least they could replace the SNL category with foreign movies to get something remotely competetive.

Within the grid constraints (agreeing with JR on that...), my top four are:

    • Blues Brothers
    • Princess Bride
    • Dr. Strangelove
    Honorable mention:
    • Strange Brew
    • Blazing Saddles
    • Tootsie
