On April 9th, CBS will be launching a brand-new 13-episode murder mystery series. It promises to be spooky and different and tons of fun. I sincerely hope that it lives up to that promise and am terribly, terribly, excited to see this new show, Harper's Island.
We only have a few more weeks to wait until the big day arrives, and I think that we ought to do some celebrating of the death and mayhem in advance of its arrival. Don't you agree?
My only problem with the notion of celebrating this murder mystery is that I'm unsure exactly how one goes about celebrating such a thing. It doesn't seem right to hold a funeral, after all, this is just a television show, but it still seems wrong to be overly joyous and happy about it doesn't it? It certainly does to me, I'm just not that morbid a person.
Okay, how about this, how about we do some sort of gigantic celebration, but completely quiet, no noise, just a huge fete without much pomp or circumstance? Yes, I think that's just the ticket. It'll be the kind of thing that everyone knows about, everyone tells their friends about, and that will be talked about immensely, it just won't be shouted from the rooftops.
