I read a couple of positive reviews about this movie, positive being that it was fun and didn't suck for an action move. I also love Chow Yun Fat, and that Stifler guy was funny in American Pie and Road Trip. Not so funny in Americaner Pie, but oh well.
I came out slightly disappointed, but it was amusing and entertaining anyway. I was slightly disappointed because the whole flipping, flying, kicking through the air martial arts movie thing no longer has the power to move me. In fact, the only two movies I've seen where this actually worked were The Matrix and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Oh, yea, the dodging slow-motion bullets thing is played, too, so stop doing it.
But the story was ridiculous, which is what I wanted, and the actors were appealing. Jamie (formerly James, and why did she change it? It was distinctive) King is attractive, with those big blue eyes, without being incredibly hot. It looks as if she put on ten pounds she have a definite second chin, which is disconcerting, to say the least, in a supermodel. But she performed admirably in the martial arts sequences, and that's what was called for.
Would I recommend this movie to others? If you're a Chow Yun Fat or a Stifler fan, I think you'll enjoy it.

What about a Chow Yun Fat fan that doesn't care much for the other guy?

Not sure. The other guy is definitely the main character, but Fat has some choice bits.
