Blu-ray Review: Pearl Harbor - Page 2

Part of: The Wild Blu Yonder

Unsung Heroes of Pearl Harbor is a History Channel piece focusing on lesser known people who made a difference before and after the attack. This runs for 45 minutes. Trailers and a video from Faith Hill are the only other included extras.

Not only did Michael Bay quit the movie on multiple occasions, he and Bruckheimer both had to take pay cuts to drop the budget to a reasonable level. However, both were given a cut of the profits after the release to make up for it. That still didn’t stop the movie from starting with a proposed budget of $145 million.

I'm sorry, but Titanic should not even be listed in the same breath as Pearl Harbor. Saying Titanic in the same breath as Gone with the Wind, Casablanca or even Atonement, fine. But don't say Pearl Harbor with Titanic. Please.
