As for supplements, Miracle comes with the normal array of "goodies." There is a filmmakers' commentary, which consists of boring incites from the director, cinematographer, and editor about making the movie. There is also the normal outtake/blooper reel, which adds nothing to the storyline. Then, there is the typical making of, sounds of, and first impressions of the film -- even more useless drivel that they put on the discs.
Finally, however, there are two extras that are actually worth your time -- "From Hockey to Hollywood" and "ESPN Roundtable." The first features a discussion from Russell about the actors and hockey players used to portray the team. This is exciting and interesting as you see an A-list actor giving thanks to C-listers for all their help. The roundtable is a discussion between Russell, real-life center Mike Eruzione, goaltender Jim Craig, and left wing Buzz Schneider as they talk about Coach Brooks. This is both a tear-jerking and informational look into the guy who made the team, and it really is worth the 41 minutes that it takes to watch.
Overall, I believe that Miracle is a good movie for people who love hockey and even for those who hate it. The movie goes into the technical details (which I loved), but also establishes a broader view, which most viewers will appreciate. It is a classic David and Goliath tale, and a well made one at that. I truly believe that you will like Miracle, and believe that you should go grab it today.
Movie: Good story, good action, good filming, but a bit anti-climatic
Blu-ray Quality: The transfer is bad for a Disney job, making the film look more DVD than Blu-ray
Sound Quality: I heard the puck slap into the leather
Extras: As usual, mostly just useless drivel save for two of the pieces
Overall: Pretty good bundle, buy it if you like hockey
