Documentaries are always hard to see theatrically. Has anyone seen any good docs in theaters aside from those nominated?

I just saw a really good new doc called Favela Rising at a pre-screening at Tia Chucha's Café in Los Angeles.

It's about how Afro-Brazillian hip-hop music transforms this guy's life and sways him away from the drug army. He becomes a leader in one of Rio's worst slums, and attempts to transform other youth's lives with music, as well. He has quite a bit of success, though it's an emotional roller coaster. Anybody that liked City of God or Bus 174 would love this film.

There's some other screenings coming up in big cities, and I heard it's going to get a theatrical release at some point.
I recommend it to everyone: www.favelarising.com

    Anybody else seen this?

I haven't seen that one but I agree with the pick of Dillon as the one most deserving of this award for sup. actor.

The awards are too long... I knew that when during the fourth hour Jerry Lewis came out and begged for money.
