Blogcritics On Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith - The Darthman Cometh - Page 5

Lucas Strikes Back
In the summer of 2002 my review for Attack of the Clones ended up in the reader pages of Dreamwatch and Starburst magazines. With the release of Revenge of the Sith imminent, I thought I'd post it here. After the relative...

The Sith Are Upon Us!
Today is the last day that I can conceivably avoid spoilers for this last Star Wars film. I think I have done a good job staying away from early reviews and spoiler sites and friends who have played the game...

Follow Up: Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
The Film Cynic was too optimistic despite all his bashing of George Lucas; the last Star Wars movie is still a big disappointment.

Scoring the Sith
My first vinyl album was the original Star Wars (1977) soundtrack.

Great Things about Star Wars ...
In advance of the new Star wars movie coming out this week, I've decided to post my Great Star Wars things list...the things that really leaped out at me as unique and unforgettable, oh so many years ago.... Star Wars: 1)....

Star Wars: Binge & Purge
Originally posted to Draven99's Musings on 9/27/04 Well, it's been over a week since the arguably greatest film trilogy was released on DVD. Of course, the release was not without problems. There are confirmed reports of flipped rear surround audio in...

Star Wars: Labyrinth Of Evil
This is a book that anyone planning to see Star Wars III should read before watching the film. It ably fills in the gap between the end of Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones and The Revenge Of The...

Film Review: Star Wars: Revelations
I admit, I've never really watched that many fan films. I don't really have an excuse, I've also been unaware as to how many there are out there. A recent example of one...

I truly believe that this film will redeem the Star Wars legacy. Gone is the bs and in comes the tradgedy. I have high hopes.

I hope this doesn't suck but the previews I've seen look incredibly amateurish. Compare the pathetic looking foam wad Yoda to Golom in the LOTR trilogy. For all Mr. Lucas' skills at the big epic visual, it cannot be denied that he blows at dialogue. My fingers remain crossed.

the reviews have been very positive and almost overwhelmed with the darkness of the plot and violence - it sounds very adult

There's a great stop-action animation spoof out called Store Wars, promoting organic foods, which is one of the best of its class since thumb wars. You can find the link here:

Definately brought Star Wars back on track. Though nothing can compare to IV, V or VI

Absolutely the WORST Star Wars movie of all time! Simply put George Lucas kills off everyone who isn't going to be in Episode IV, although much to my chagrin he overlooked Jar Jar Binks. This movie was crap. Wooden dialog, wooden acting, odd cut scenes. It was a total waste of time. When Anakin goes over to the dark side, you feel nothing because George Lucas didn't have a clue as to how to set that scene up. He should have let Anakin solo Windru to show his powers instead of assisting the Sith Lord. As to the Darth Vader suit, what did we get there? Um, about 3 minutes tops of seeing him in the suit. The movie was slow was a nothing ending. A total waste of time for all fans of Star Wars.

It is a lot better that AOTC or *shudder* Phantom Menace. Revenge of the Sith at least bears resemblence to the original Star Wars movies.
