Batman Begins and the Hegelian Dialectic
Bruce Wayne's inability to resist the forces surrounding him, driving him inevitably to don the mantle of the Dark Knight is expounded skilfully in the new film "Batman Begins". The film is an exposition of the Hegelian Dialectic, which...

Movie Review: Batman Begins
In a word, fantastic. I was so sure I was setting myself up for a fall. I remember reading about how Warner Brothers was going to get this franchise going again. Visions of Batman & Robin filled my head. Then...

I wonder why Miller's "The Dark Knight" was never made into a movie, to me it is one of the best stories reconciling the old Batman to the realities of the late 20th century, and it would still work today.

At the end of Batman Begins, we see who the next bad guy is...

I loathe the idea of the campier bad guys appearing once again, in a Batman film. They main bad guys bring back memories of the tv series and that's not a good thing, IMHO. I hope they take the plunge to introduce new enemies for these modern times.
