American Idol: It's Bo's "Vehicle," Baby
Tonight’s American Idol theme, “’70’s dance music,” sounded like a polite way to say “disco,” but, thankfully, most of the arrangements, if not the songs themselves, ended up having a fairly substantial rock element. After sailing into the doldrums the...

American Idol: '70s Review
I have to get this posted before midnight in order to join, and I spent the day singing myself hoarse, so I figure a quick rundown on tonight's American Idol will do the trick. Besides, with that as a...

American Idols Past: Aiken Smacks Bullies, Aids Disabled
Claymates, cover your ears. I realize that this may be hard to believe, but Clay Aiken was not always the vicious and feared whirlwind of menace and melody that he is today. At one point in time he was even...

American Idol: Judging the Judges
It's that time of year again, when American Idol fans start braying about how sick they are of Paula Abdul playing nice and re-enacting her days as a Laker Girl and how tired they are of Randy Jackson yo'ing and...

Flash: American Idol Malls America and You Can Help!
Remember Tiffany? Or maybe I should say it like this: REMEMBER TIFFANY!!! Tiffany was a raven-haired, teen idol who enthralled the nation singing songs such as “I Think We’re Alone Now” to thousands and thousands and thousands of screaming fans at...

American Idol Last Night
I've gotta be honest, I really wanted Bo to go tonight once he was in the bottom 3. He should pay for his most egregious transgression--the invoking of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird" at last night's show. I would have been...

American Idol - "Birthday Suit" Results

What is going on with America...are they all tone deaf? Someone with star quality is voted out and Anthony and Scott are still continuing. I don't think I will ever watch American Idol again...it gets more ridiculous every year. The judging should be left up to professionals who really know music and what it is all about.

I agree with your sentiments ladies, but remember that surprise and outrage are part of what make the show go

It's more about the 'brand' and merchandising opportunities than music per se! A shameful pleasure.

My husband and I are arguing over the past winners: are they not, in this order --
Kelley Clarkson
Ruben Stoddard
Fantasia
and this is the Fourth Competition?
THANK YOU for your help.

How darn you people of America elimate Arwar so soon. He is amazing and has a unique voice. He should of been in the top two. If I lived in America he would of got my vote.
The past winners in order are:
Kelly Clarkson 2002
Ruben Studdard 2003
Fantasia 2004
now Carrie Underwood (whom shouldn't of win)
And I only agreed with Ruben Studdard, at least with Ruben as winner I hear more about my fav. Clay Aiken.

Season 5 is certainly shaping up to be a worth while watch.

I am not much of a fan of the audition round: too much emphasis on tragically deluded fools who suck out loud
