American Idol: Does Primetime Live Have the Goods on Abdul?
I have been frantically poking around and I can't find any corroborating evidence anywhere, but the dreaded Drudge is reporting that ABC's Primetime — which is airing a segment on American Idol on Wednesday entitled Fallen Idol (melodramatic...

American Idol Report: Bo Bice Has Prior Drug Arrests
Reality TV World has the story here. Given how little Scott Savol's criminal past, involving domestic issues with his girlfriend, I don't see this hurting Bo too much at all. He wouldn't be the first rock star to...

American Idol Week 7: The Conspiracy that Did in Constantine Maroulis
I checked and the sun did come up this morning. Apparently, the premature departure of Constantine Maroulis from American Idol last night did not knock the earth off its axis after all. Nevertheless, for everyone who's ever lost a fav...

American Idol (Week 7): The Shock Heard 'Round The World
Like a kiss, interrupted, Constantine is taken from us far too soon. Tonight Constantine Maroulis ended his American Idol journey, and part of our journey---the part he took us on in his own unique, charming and disarming way---now ends, too. For those...

What is going on with America...are they all tone deaf? Someone with star quality is voted out and Anthony and Scott are still continuing. I don't think I will ever watch American Idol again...it gets more ridiculous every year. The judging should be left up to professionals who really know music and what it is all about.

I agree with your sentiments ladies, but remember that surprise and outrage are part of what make the show go

It's more about the 'brand' and merchandising opportunities than music per se! A shameful pleasure.

My husband and I are arguing over the past winners: are they not, in this order --

    Kelley Clarkson
    Ruben Stoddard
    Fantasia

and this is the Fourth Competition?
    THANK YOU for your help.

How darn you people of America elimate Arwar so soon. He is amazing and has a unique voice. He should of been in the top two. If I lived in America he would of got my vote.

The past winners in order are:
    Kelly Clarkson 2002
    Ruben Studdard 2003
    Fantasia 2004
now Carrie Underwood (whom shouldn't of win)

And I only agreed with Ruben Studdard, at least with Ruben as winner I hear more about my fav. Clay Aiken.

Season 5 is certainly shaping up to be a worth while watch.

I am not much of a fan of the audition round: too much emphasis on tragically deluded fools who suck out loud
