Blogcritics Magazine is Giving Away The Andromeda Strain

Those space aliens.  You think you got them all figured out, you think you understand every little bit of everything that takes place in the universe, and then, wham!  They hit you.  They attack you with some deadly bug, some horrible, horrible pathogen that will destroy you and the rest of humankind.  Or, maybe, just maybe, they are the pathogen.  The aliens are the disease.  Maybe, just maybe, they're going to wipe you out, wipe me out, and end life on Earth as we know it.

I encourage you not to let that happen.  I encourage you not to fall prey to deadly alien pathogens.  You need to be informed.  You need to be aware.  You need to arm yourself the best way you can, with knowledge.  Knowledge is the key to survival.  Knowledge is the way we can survive to see another day.  Knowledge is how we fight the future.

Wait, mixed pop culture reference there, strike the "fight the future" bit.  What we're talking about today is the brand-new miniseries, based on Michael Crichton's book of the same name, The Andromeda Strain.  This new miniseries airs on A&E Monday May 26 and Tuesday May 27, from 9-11pm both nights.  Plus, if you get A&E HD, you can watch it in high def.  It stars Benjamin Bratt, Eric McCormack, Ricky Schroder, Andre Braugher, Christa Miller, Daniel Dae Kim, and Viola Davis, and I can't wait to see it.  It's got a great cast and it's just my cup of tea.

You know what I wish, I wish I could get a The Andromeda Strain t-shirt, The Andromeda Strain DVD Collection featuring both the 2008 A&E miniseries and the Oscar-nominated 1971 film, and a copy of The Andromeda Strain novel.  Sadly, I can't.  I'm not eligible for the prize.  You however are.
