Blogcritics Helps You Win Big From The First 48 on A&E

Part of: BC TV Giveaways

Did you know that the first 48 hours of a murder investigation are crucial… absolutely crucial. The odds of solving a murder drop drastically – apparently almost by half – if detectives don't get a lead within the first 48 hours. It makes one wonder – how exactly do those officers go about pursuing their investigation during those first 48 hours? What do they do? Do they sleep? Do they eat? Do they take breaks of any sort at all?

Frankly, I don't know. I just don't. I do know who does know though, those folks over at The First 48. A&E's reality show focuses on officers during those oh-so-important moments. Awww, heck, you don't need me to tell you about it all, let the publicity folks do it for me:

This summer, A&E is bringing back the critically acclaimed Real-Life series, The First 48 for more action-packed drama. Season nine of The First 48 airs Tuesdays at 9:00PM ET/PT. The First 48, the most watched non-fiction investigative series on cable, comes back for another strong season of taking viewers behind the scenes of real-life investigations with unprecedented access to crime scenes, forensic processing and interrogations. The series, which follows homicide detectives in real time during the critical first 48 hours of murder investigations, follows the nation's top police departments, including Miami, Minneapolis, Louisville and Birmingham. Be sure to stay tuned after The First 48 for all new episodes of The Cleaner starring Benjamin Bratt Tuesdays at 10/9c on A&E. Become a fan on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.

Now, I know what you're thinking, but I don't want you to worry, you see, each show isn't actually 48 hours long. Yes, it does say that the show follows the detective in "real time," but they don't actually mean that each episode requires 48 hours of your sitting there. Personally, I'd love to see that kind of episode, but it's just not how the world of television operates.
