The best episode of the Blues so far airs tonight. It focuses on BB King. Tomorrow's show is a movie by the great director Charles Burnett.
The DVD box set also comes out today, and a concert DVD of Bobby Rush, who is featured in tonight's episode. Two volumes of the American Blues Folk Festival (excerpts are in the series) recently came out.
I've been meaning to write a longer piece, but have to run to do an interview. More later this week.
