This weekend sees Australian Idol (yes we have one too!) reach crunch time. Three will become two in a 60's song frenzy.
The series has had the normal controversies.
Paulini (who was voted out last week) was told to 'wear more appropriate clothes or lose some pounds.
The voting system has come under a lot of fire.
There have been accusations of racism.
The three that remain are Guy Sebastian (a 21 year old from South Australia – know as the Guy with the Afro), Cosimo De Vito (26 years of age from Western Australia – the judges told her to pluck her eyebrows) and Shanon Noll (27 years old and a farmer boy from rural New South Wales).
The show has been a roaring success if publicity is any indication. ‘Australian Idol’ has remained the number one search term on Yahoo Australia for months now and ratings are through the roof.
One can’t help but wonder if its all hype and spin and that the ‘controversy’ might have been a little manufactured. Oh well, bring on the final so life in Australia can return to normal!
