Next week, we'll see the men perform on Monday night and the women on Tuesday. After that, the voting begins. I'll be back before then to size up the competition and make some early predictions. This is where things will start to get interesting.

c'mon Scott. I think people saw it "first" oh, on TV perhaps?
i didn't know they were going for a 12 / 12 split among men and women. Is that how they've been doing it?

Temple: This 12/12 is new. They altered the format in response to complaints that last year's (and previous seasons) AI favored and pushed the ladies.
I believe now each week one guy and one gal will be canned until we have 6 men and 6 women, and then we have a mixed finals.
If this is the case, I like it because we get to hear these 24 sing a whole lot more than we did the semi-finalists in previous seasons.
This should also create a better final group of 12, in theory. Of course, AS MANY HAVE SAID BEFORE, voting for you want to stay on (Versus voting for someone to leave) has an effect on the results.
Since many of the AI season have been dominated by women, I'd like to see it all end (the whole thing I mean, not just this round) with Constantine, Anthony, Bo, and Scott duking it out for the crown of AI4.
Regardless of who you like, from this group of 24, I feel the guys as a group are stronger than the women and that one of these guys will end up champion. The talent between the four I mentioned plus guys like Mario Vasquez and Anwar Robinson are going be too much for this particular group of women to handle.

Ryan, Ive never seen such a disrespectful way of eliminating the four contestants (Febuary 23,2005). Perhaps if you change your approach with some compasion, you won't lose your audiance base. The contestants have worked very hard to reach the stage there at and deserve a better send off. (SHAME ON YOU!)
