The 78th Annual Academy Awards, televised live on ABC from the Kodak Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2006. The gala will start on the hour: 5 p.m. on the West Coast, 8 p.m. on the East. The red carpet arrivals show that precedes the Oscar telecast will start one half-hour earlier (of course E!'s super extended coverage begins, like, days before).
