Saturday 9/10.

• WWE: Smackdown. The debut of Smackdown on Friday's didn't go off without a hitch. The first hour was cut for the Hurricane Relief, but it was already being pre-empted in New York for the Yankees game, and rescheduled for Saturday. So I got to see it all. It started with a tag match with the champs, Heidenreich and Animal, take on MNM, and retaining. Then Ken Kennedy beat Paul London with his cool finisher. Next newcomer Paul Burchill beat Scotty with an armbar submission. The second hour, where the rest of the country picked it up, opened with the great Eddie Guerrero v Rey Mysterio in a steel cage. Then another destruction of Orlando Jordan by Chris Benoit. Finally the decent bull rope match between Batista and JBL, with Batista retaining. ***
• The Man with the Screaming Brain.
