24 - Hour 22: The Bitch (Slap) is Back! - Page 2

Our collective sense of triumph is only vaguely diminished by Agent Adam’s comments about how Pierce was really only loyal to Palmer. Damn tattletale. Logan does not reply, but the looks that he and Adams exchange tell us that the rest of the hour can only end badly for Pierce as Adams heads back into the trophy room, and Prez calls Graham.

Graham was surprised to hear from the Prez. “Well, I thought they’d be scraping your gray matter off the walls by now, but super to hear from you!”

Another fun moment was when Martha was out for a ciggie break at the stables. She sees a car pulling in. Since it’s now after 4:00 AM, it doesn’t seem like the visitor has good intentions. Of course, we don’t know this. But it’s a damn good guess.

The car stops at the stables. Martha sneaks closer. Agent Adams gets out, pops his trunk, and goes inside the trophy room. He comes out a minute later and Martha is horrified to see him with Aaron as his captive. Adams wants Aaron to get inside the plastic lined trunk. Aaron of course, refuses. He tries to reason with Adams, and they struggle.

As Adams draws his weapon on Aaron, Martha approaches. Adams now turns his gun on Martha, but she keeps advancing – asking, “You’d shoot the First Lady?” As Adams hesitates, Aaron Pierce is able to land a kick, disarming Adams. He scrambles for a tire iron, and is about to smash it down on Aaron. Just at the last minute, Martha grabs the gun, and shoots Adams. Booya!

I suppose I’ve got to hit on some other significant moments from the episode. We knew Bierko was going to escape, and he did. He meets up with some cronies, and whips off his huge Phantom of the Opera mask/bandage to reveal the most misshapen facial stitches not seen since Lon Chaney Jr. or Sr. This is good. I needed a new name for the man. So, the cronies then show Frankenstein the remaining nerve gas canister. Ah Sentox old friend, shall we dance one last time?

Because of Bierko’s escape, CTU folk realize that Robocop/Henderson could possibly give them insight into what might come next. Jack doesn’t like this: a) Henderson is impossible to break, and b) because he is impossible to break, the next step would be to offer an immunity deal. Which totally chafes Jack’s butt. Totally. But still, Jack concedes, knowing that Karen and Bill are right. And here is the old sod himself, Robocop. What a reunion show!

Some great observations as always, Mary K. Yes, the two best moments were Pierce & Logan and Karen and Miles. I'll add them to my list of all times favorites right up there with Jack gunning down Drazen and putting a bullet in Nina Meyers. I'm sure he has a few left for Henderson, Bierko, and Logan.

Nicely done. Indeed, I saw The Sentinel over the weekend, and it was like 24: The Movie.

Odd that the movie had Kiefer, and a Secret Service agent sleeping with the First Lady, played by Kim Basinger.

24 has Kiefer, and a Secret Service agent who acts like he wants to sleep with the First Lady. And Kim Basinger might appear in the next season.

Chloe spilling coffee on Miles was pretty good too.

I didn't quite understand why Agent Adams drove up in a car. He was in the retreat. Did he leave in the car and come back? Was the car parked elsewhere?

And did they just happen to have all that plastic sitting around the retreat?

Well, last year Dave Barry commented about Marwan shopping at Home Depot. I suppose if an all-night Home Depot is good enough for Marwan, it be good enough for Agent Adams.

"Excuse me, where are your blood-catchingwaterproof sheets of plastic? Yes, trunk sized would be perfect"
