Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince  This sixth series installment, based on the best selling J.K. Rowling books, reveals more of the evil Lord Voldemort's past. Also playing in IMAX theaters.

Somers  Town  Comedy/drama, shot in black and white, stars Piotr Jagiello and Thomas Turgoose as two teenage boys who both encounter tough neighborhood events and become infatuated with a French waitress (New York).

July 17

Death in Love  Nazi concentration camp drama written and directed by Boaz Yakin about a mother, played by Jacqueline Bisset, and her two sons. Lukas Haas, Nicholas Sireci, Adam Brody, Josh Lucas, and Emma Bell co-star (New York, Los Angeles).

(500) Days of Summer  This promising romantic comedy stars Zooey Deschanel (Elf) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and is directed by first time feature helmer Marc Webb.

The Square  This dramatic crime thriller centers on Raymond, played by David Roberts, who’s presented with a unique opportunity in his latest romantic affair with Carla, played by Claire van der Boom (limited).

July 24

The Answer Man  Jeff Daniels stars as Arlen Faber, an eccentric writer who encounters a single mom, played by Lauren Graham, and rehab recoverer named Kris, played by Lou Tayler Pucci. John Hindman writes and directs this comedy in his full feature debut (limited).

Deadgirl  This horror movie begins as two kids playing hooky make a troubling discovery at an abandoned mental hospital (limited).

G-Force  This live action comedy has a special forces group of… guinea pigs who must save the world. Nicolas Cage, Penelope Cruz, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi, and Tracy Morgan provide the voices for these furry fighters. Presented in Disney Digital 3-D.

In the Loop  This comedy stars Dave Rasche, Peter Capaldi, Tom Hollander, Gina McKee, James Gandolfini, and Anna Chlumsky as UK/U.S.A. officials engaged in power plays and political maneuvering (limited).

Orphan  Frightening family thrills as a new addition causes unforeseen havoc after a recovering couple adopts her. Vera Farmiga, Peter Sarsgaard, and newcomer Isabelle Fuhrman star.
