VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash (ex-GUNS N’ ROSES, SLASH’S SNAKEPIT) reports through his official website that VR’s debut album has been mixed in New York City and has been delivered to the group’s label, RCA. Delivered to the label ahead of the projected date of December 31st, the album’s current release date has been set for April 27th, 2004. A posting at the site reads: “The record company is getting behind the album and allowing plenty of time for pre-release promotions. The album’s title is NOT Comrades as was reported on some web sites. The real title is so supercool, but Slash wasn’t sure he could let it out tonight, so he asked us to wait on that announcement. He wanted his net fans and friends to know, though, that the album is DONE! He says it rocks and is so f**king cool. And you know what these guys can do LIVE! We’ll keep you posted, and thanks, Slash, for telling your internet fans the big news! We’ll have more on this tomorrow, but we wanted you to have the big NEWS tonight!” More news as it becomes available.
