Football players play hurt and that’s a fact. One injury that flew under the radar in New England was the injury to Tom Brady’s foot.
As a result, Brady will sit out his Pro Bowl appearance and will be replaced by his former trainee Matt Cassell.
Brady’s injury has some wondering whether or not he’ll be ready for the season opener and also has some wondering, including the Boston Herald and it’s readers, how long his storied career (and subsequently the success of the Patriots franchise) will last.
Despite playing with the injury, Brady finished with 3,900 yards, 36 touchdowns and four interceptions, leading the Patriots to a 14-2 record. In the playoffs, however, Brady finished 29-45 for 299 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
