A television miniseries based on the controversial life of the Kennedy family. The plot centers around Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. (Tom Wilkinson), father of American President John F. Kennedy (Greg Kinnear), and how he attempts to manipulate the lives of his sons to achieve his political goals. The miniseries chronicles the triumphs and challenges of the iconic American family. Other roles are played by Katie Holmes, who plays Jackie Kennedy, and Barry Pepper, who plays younger brother Bobby Kennedy.
The series, directed by Jon Cassar, was originally set to be broadcast on the History Channel, but it was not aired because of its drama which seemed unfit for the channel.
Still, ReelzChannel bought the U.S. rights to the show, airing it on April 3, 2011.
