The Juice Bows Out

With his typical class, cutting through the nonsense, Jan Herman is leaving MSNBC today:

Some media observers have pointed out the absurdity of that claim. What’s not absurd, though, is the occupational hazard. It grows on bloggers like a fungus. Show me a blogger and I’ll show you someone who needs to be fumigated every once in a while. There are exceptions, of course, like yours truly.

But in the interest of staying fungus-free, I will no longer be writing The Juice. I could say it’s because MSNBC.com and I are parting ways, which is true. I could say it’s because my staff of thousands has fled, which is not true. I could say a lot of things. Regrettably, like Falstaff thinking of the field of battle, I say the better part of valor is discretion.

We are sad, sad, sad, but sense that Jan will magicially reappear elsewhere – at least we hope so.
