The Dollyrots follow new release with a club tour.

The Dollyrots to Release New Album and Tour

On August 17 The Dollyrots will release their newest album, A Little Messed Up on Blackheart Records. A two month club tour will follow.

The 13 track album is being described as gritty and is sure to follow in the same pop-punk vein as their previous releases. The album will be available in CD and vinyl and a launch party kicks off the club tour on August 13 at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles, CA.

The Dollyrots was formed by Ogden and Cabezas in 2004 and now consists of Kelly Ogden (bass/vocals), Luis Cabezas (guitar) and Chris Black (drums). They’ve released two previous albums: Eat My Heart Out and Because I’m Amesome. The 2007 single “Because I’m Awesome” was voted Coolest Track in the World by Little Steven’s Underground Garage listeners.

As a special treat to Goodie Bag readers, here’s a look back at “Becasue I’m Awesome.”
