On February 4, 2012, Blogcritics published “Holder Incompetent, Tries to Hide It By Playing Race Card.” The article was about Attorney General Eric Holder’s incompetence, and how he is President Barack Hussein Obama’s lapdog. Well, now we are getting very close to home, to what President Barack Hussein Obama and his political hacks, er, handlers plan for the 2012 election. He can’t run, except for Kool-Aid drinkers, on his dismal record. So he plans to run on blame, blame, and more blame. He has had much practice, blaming everyone, particularly former President George Walker Bush, for anything and everything that has not been beneficial to/for him. Why change now? And the MSM goes right along with his blame game. A list of his 2008 campaign promises, none of which he kept (partially or fully), is available here.
And if anyone, for any reason, calls attention to what he has failed to do, that person will be called a racist. In the 2012 race, voters will be subjected to an endless recitation of race baiting, something that Democrats hope will distract voters from real issues such as the economy, the real unemployment rate, and gutting the military.
From Politico (hardly a bastion of conservatism), in an article entitled, “The Race Issue Rises Again,” we learn:
- Newt Gingrich labeled Obama the “food stamp president.” Racist? Here are the facts. Obama is the food stamp president, with food stamp usage at a record high of nearly 15% during his presidency. Gingrich also said that Mitt Romney is “little food stamp.” Is that statement also racist or a code expression?
- Michelle Obama got mad when she was called an “angry black woman.” Racist? Here are the facts. Michelle Obama told CBS’s Gayle King on “This Morning” that she took issue with the book The Obamas, by New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor. Michelle Obama told King, “But that’s been an image that people have tried to paint of me since the day that Barack announced – that I’m some angry black woman.” Please explain how something Michelle Obama said herself can be racist!
- Arizona Governor Jan Brewer wagged her finger at Obama. Racist? Here are the facts. Brewer pointed her finger at President Obama during a heated exchange that he instigated. The Brewer finger-pointing incident has to be one of the silliest “racism” charges ever. Was it yet another code expression? Yes, Brewer gave several versions of what was said, but none of them had any racial overtones.
Jesse Jackson said in an interview that it’s time to decipher the “code words” spoken by Gingrich and “code expressions” such as Brewer’s finger wag. Said Jackson, “They need to be decoded because they are becoming voluminous and dangerous.” He continued, “This is the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, and the great divide has been revived.” Jackson sees the resurgence of states rights rhetoric, brandished by Brewer and other Republicans, as a dog whistle with darker motives. “It can’t be ignored. Black America feels the attack.” Let’s see, is the same Jesse Jackson who spit in “whitey’s” food? He can, said sarcastically, be counted on to be quite objective about race.
Al Sharpton said, “I’ll just say it straight up. There are some people, not all, in this country who cannot stand the fact that this is an African American who is now one of the most powerful individuals on the planet. And there are those who cannot consciously and subconsciously handle it.” And we all know how truthful, objective, and reliable a source Al Sharpton can be. Does anyone remember Tawana Brawley?
So when the blame game starts, some fact checking and complete truth telling is in order. And when the race card is played, just remember which party played it, and what supposed incident caused it to be played. The MSM will set up the racial “straw man,” then report anything as racial. Someone accurately accuses Obama of lying or not telling the complete truth. Racial. Someone gestures while disagreeing with Obama? Racial.
But that’s just my opinion.Powered by Sidelines
