This free online tool provides a computer analysis of any text or web page.
The site was created by Bernhard Huber, a civil engineering student in Toulouse, France, primarily as an aid for translators and webmasters but also for general users like you and me.
People are using it to analyze blogs and political speeches, among other things.
For example, there’s a feature that generates a list of the most frequently used words in a text, and how many times they appeared.
Said Huber, “Text analysis offers endless possibilities. For instance, one person asked me how he could prove with textalyser that a text had been written by a particular person.” [via Pamela LiCalzi O’Connell’s Online Diary in today’s New York Times]Powered by Sidelines
