Taylor Momsen is one of those celebrities that just can’t seem to keep her mouth shut. I personally appreciate how candid and honest she is; at least it makes things interesting. The bad girl is back and I could not be happier. There is something satisfying about ladies who live with no apologies. Megan Fox is another example of a bad girl who speaks her mind and is famous for making odd comments.
Momsen, well known for playing Cindy Loo Who in Ron Howard’s The Grinch and Little J on popular TV series Gossip Girl, has slammed both Miley Cyrus and Rhianna in the press. She was also quoted as saying that she is not interested in guys at the moment as her vibrator is her boyfriend. When Perez Hilton tweeted this news using the term “dildo,” she was quick to correct him that it was a vibrator. She also joked that she had sex with a priest when talking about the molestation scandal in the Catholic church.
These comments are all the more shocking when you remember that Momsen is all of 17 years old. Despite her lack of media etiquette, the girl has the talent to back up her big mouth. Her band The Pretty Reckless has some very decent songs, and Momsen can really sing, unlike some actresses turned singers I could mention. She reminds me of Courtney Love in her prime.
Perez Hilton, when commenting on the band’s latest video, said she does Courtney Love better than Courtney does at the moment. Gossip Girl is also one of the most popular shows on TV right now, going into its fourth season and with many of its stars appearing in upcoming movie roles. One can only hope that bad press won’t overshadow Momsen’s true talent. I can only wonder as to what Momsen’s older male band members think of all her comments.
Momsen has built quiet a bad girl image for herself, most likely in the hopes of dispelling the good girl image of her character on Gossip Girl. Sometimes though it seems like she is just trying way too hard to be oh so shocking. Still I will always be entertained by a sassy female who speaks her mind and shows off her undies onstage.
