Mountain Dew is ready to listen, and not just for the change in your pocket. The makers of Mountain Dew want you to help them decide what will be their next Mountain Dew flavor.This month, three new Dews hit the shelves for your consideration. After you drink them, decide which one is the best and deserves to be the brand new Dew. The votes will be tallied and the winner will be the new Dew. The voting started June 1, so rush over to the Dewmocracy website right away and start voting. You can Dew it once a day.
The website provides a little more information on each drink. The landing page is pretty cool. It displays a map of the United States and shows the voting results from each state. It also shows the total votes.The three flavors are Supernova (strawberry melon lime with ginseng), Voltage (raspberry citrus with ginseng), and Revolution (wild berry with, yes, ginseng).
The whole campaign is pretty cool. This is a great way to ensure a new product is sustainable. It seems sometimes companies take a chance on introducing new flavors. I know market research is involved, but still, they don’t know for sure if the taste will take off. Putting the option of the new product into the hands of consumers is a refreshing tactic.A note for parents: Children under 13 are unable to register and vote. You’ll have to do the voting for your kids. Fortunately, my son and I agreed on which was the best new Dew.If you’ve got your own blog and your own website, Dewmocracy has some cool campaign badges you can use. Help spread the word about your favorite new flavor. There are message boards. You can join your favorite Dew’s Team and discuss ways to further your flavor.I will now wave my hand in a Jedi-fashion and say to you, “You want to vote now. Dew it!”

Supernova tastes like grape soda. Didn't like it. The only new flavor I've tasted of Dew that I liked is one you can only get at Taco Hell. Baja Blast isn't too bad.
