This tiny store in Tin Hau makes all sorts of candy and customises them with names for special branded events and private parties. It's a great idea for wedding favors, birthday parties or gifts.
The store is a hidden gem on Tung Lo Wan Road—this Hong Kong outfit is an extension of its stores in Tokyo, New York, Barcelona etc.

My colleague gave me some of these artisanal sweets days after I read about the store in Tokyo on a design blog. It’s fascinating by how it’s possible to have images and text on the sweets on such a small surface area.

Hot malleable candy is repeatedly rolled until its shape takes place then they are rolled into thin columns and sliced off. The alphabets/logos/images were made as placements before, then shrunk to smaller sizes after the thin rolls are detached and sliced from the mother roll and then thinly sliced into little pieces, each bearing the image embedded.
